Little Spouts
Oh my,I've gone and done it again. I've let days and weeks go by without leaving a post here on my blog for you dear friends. Well let me catch you all up on what I've been doing. Remember, we planted a little garden spot. We were late bloomers in doing that, but finally we are seeing little spouts shooting up through the soil. Just yesterday my mama, sister and I planted a whole flat of tomatoes. Mama blessed them for a good bountiful harvest of big juicy tomatoes. ..yum

Next post..... I'll catch you up on some more of what I've been working on. Many blessings until then, Shelley
It is wonderful to be out in the garden, isn't it! It has not been warm enough yet here to have success in planting. I'm getting excited to get out and start planting some flower seeds. I decided to skip the potatoes this year. I'm still trying to decide if I want to plant tomatoes. Last year a squirrel kept managing to get into the tomatoes. Any that he didn't take completely away and eat. he taste-tested and left a vine full of bitten-into tomatoes that rotted. I know the squirrel did it because he ate the tomatoes right on my garden bench and I saw him doing it one morning.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you, your Mom, and Aunt were sure having a great time gardening! You are growing wonderful memories.
So nice that you are able to get outdoors and garden. Not warm enough here-we are still in the mid 40's. Please do write more often-I check everyday to see if you have a new blog posting.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening.

Hi Shelley; gardening is so relaxing! I had 50 tomatoes off my one plant last year! I was very impressed so this year I planted two; maybe I'll get 100 tomatoes! Tee hee...I love the gardening photos.
