Doll Therapy and more
I'm here. I'm praying, getting into God's Word, reading, crocheting, listening to praise and worship music, and making mends with some emotional feelings. Oh, and having some doll therapy too, as I call it!
Dolls, as some of you know, are a big part of my life. You must be a doll fan to relate. They have always , since I was a small child been a comfort and source of joy to me.
My baby dolls seem to be the ones I'm really clinging to as of late. By the way, my daughter Regina just blessed me with a new baby doll this week. I had her take two of my dolls home with her. I have that rule you know.....if something comes in, something, or two must go out!
I'm staying home a lot too. It's where I feel the most peaceful. In my familiar surroundings. Among my own things, with my sweet companion Jessie.
She has mostly became a house dog as of late because its too hot outdoors as she's getting older and can no longer take the high temps. Its supposed to reach as high as 108 next week. I pray my old AC window unit holds up.
Thank you dear friends once again for your prayers. They are being felt, to be sure. Please mention my son's name before the Lord.....Thomas. My heart is crushed and broken for him, but I'm trusting my Lord that he has Thomas in his hand. That one day things will be well again. So be it Lord Jesus.....so be it. Things are not always as they seem.

Shelley, I have been thinking about and praying for you, my friend. I will also lift your son in prayer. My outside dog spends a lot of time inside, as well. He is about eight years old now which isn't that old but he is a...shall we say..."well fed" boy! All my neighbors are widow women and they have come to love Ol' Roy as much as we do, so they leave him little snacks. He is very good about cleaning his plate at each house! He comes home huffing and puffing and needing to cool off!

Hi Shelley, My only son has caused much pain and heartache so I have some sort of idea of your situation. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you and Thomas. I do have some understanding of what you are going through - two of my adult children are causing a lot of problem and heartache to my husband and I just now. We just hang on, do our best and pray a lot. Will keep you and your family in prayer. Let us know how things are going.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray for Thomas and blessings on all your family. I would normally say "enjoy the summer" but in Texas I would say, enjoy the air conditioning!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I feel so close to You Shelley and I just know that all will be for the glory of God.He loves Thomas even more than You do,isn't that hard to imagine for Us Mommies.
