A Truly Simple Life

Keeping it simple, is just what I'm trying to do.  It's the kind of life I desire.  Even with the stress that comes with just living, I still believe its possible to live a simple life by eliminating some things and stuff from your everyday life.  With the 100 lb weight loss came some added vitality to my body which has been a huge blessing, but as of late I've pretty much felt a lot of energy and feel good leaving my body, which has a lot to do with a major flare up of Fibromyalgia I'm sure.  I feel like I'm being robbed.  How I wish Fibromyalgia was a more understood syndrome. The medical field is learning more and more about it, but unfortunately there's no cure, as you may be aware of.  So for those of us who suffer from it the best we can do is learn to manage and cope.

I push myself continually until my body says enough and tries to shut down on me,or so it seems.

A little try on some peach jam and pickled radishes.

Bird Watching. ...I love my bird friends

A "new" used book.

It's a daily progress that I have been working towards for about the past five years.  I hope to have achieved a truly simple life some day. Blessings to all

  1. Shelley, I love this post on living simply as I strive to do just that each and every day. As the weather begins to warm up and get a bit nicer I need to constantly remind myself to still....live a quiet life and not try to do so much in my day. Thank you for reminding me of this, for that's one tip to a peaceful home.

  3. Yes, we are trying to simplify and downsize too. It is a process. Glad you are on that road. I think we are happier when our focus is on God, family and friends and not so much on "stuff." Have a good weekend.
