Simple Blessings

Wildflowers from a sweet young friend.  I prefer them to store bought anyday. They are one of the simple blessings I so enjoy, and free for the picking too! It has been a warm, humid day here today. Now an afternoon storm is setting in. I'm praying it won't be to bad? It's spring after all,  and storms is one thing I don't take kindly to in the Spring time.  A good rain fall is always a welcomed blessing though.

My youngest son Johnny and I on Easter Sunday. He works out of town now and I only get to see him every couple of months or so.  I was very happy he and his little family were in for the weekend. He is Sweet Audrey's daddy.

I went for my six weeks check up on the 7th. My doctor and I both were very happy because I have lost a total of 46 lbs now. A small portion of that count I had lost before surgery. I still have so far to go, but I'm taking each day as comes and doing my best despite obstacles.  It wouldn't be real life without hurdles to jump, would it? But when I think of who is waiting at the finish line for me at the end of my race, I gather strength and continue to run. It will be worth it all when we see him.

 Blessings dear friends,  Shelley

  3. Praying for you. I like what you said that in the end we will see His face. I need to remember that when life seems overwhelming.
